Such a privilege to spend time with David Grant the 80s pop legend, singer, vocal coach, campaigner but most importantly the adopted dad. Here's a little interview we recorded together in London during the heatwave.   [ms_youtube link="https://youtu.be/8-2rk3cbWMc" width="100%" height="100%" mute="no" autoplay="yes" loop="yes" controls="yes" class="" id=""][/ms_youtube]

Meet the Christian woman who adopted EIGHT children from a Russian orphanage
Posted By :Date :Krish Kandiah | 07-15-2016
"The day before his 10th birthday, our son Jonny was run over and killed before our very eyes while we were on a family bike ride with him and our other two children." This tragedy turned Susan Hillis' family upside down. The following day, she says, was the "valley of the shadow of death". But Susan's grief inspired a passion to care for children who had lost their parents. A few months later, she adopted a brother and sister – Alex and Anya – from an orphanage in Russia. Anya soon began to…

Who Needs a Tough Father?
Posted By :Date :Krish Kandiah | 07-15-2016
It's a tough time to be a father right now. Taking your child to the zoo or for a walk in the woods could land you on the front page of the newspaper. Whether you are a single dad, a step dad or just a standard dad, fathers everywhere are damned if they do and damned if they don't. And even if you can ignore the media, the headlines and the plethora of self-appointed experts, you can hardly ignore that other know-it-all voice of criticism - the expert in fathering…

Fathers for the Fatherless
Posted By :Date :Krish Kandiah | 06-10-2014
Fathers Day is a great marketing opportunity for pen knife manufacturers , greeting card producers and mens hosiery. It's not an age old festival having only been created in the 20th century to complement Mother's Day but I want to make a plea that we need to make the most of it . I know it can be a sensitive time for people who have grown up without a Dad or even worse with an abusive father. I know it can be difficult for single people and childless couples who…

All out at All Souls
Posted By :Date :Krish Kandiah | 03-30-2014
Just on my way home from a lovely evening with All Souls Church, Langham Place.  It was a very moving evening with testimonies from a young man who was adopted aged 8 now working at All Souls Church, an adoption social worker who works for a London borough and a High Court Judge who is often making difficult choices about whether to remove children from at risk families or not.  Mark Meynell was in fine form preaching up a storm on God’s heart for the vulnerable and God’s heart for…

Rachel used to avoid Mothers Day services…
Posted By :Date :Krish Kandiah | 03-24-2014
Rachel and Jason have been dear friends since we were in a church together in Harrow.  Rachel told me recently that Mothers' Day was a really difficult day for her as she and Jason had been trying for a child for some time. Rachel explained to me that  she would either not turn up at church at all that day or try to stay out of sight helping out in creche or youth ministry on that day. With Mothers Day coming up this weekend, its important for those of us…

Dianne’s life was going along fine until…
Posted By :Date :Krish Kandiah | 03-22-2014
Its been a privilege to get to know Dianne Louise Jordan over the last couple of years. We bumped into eachother when I was talking about the season of Advent on Songs of Praise (my one and only foray on SoP). Dianne was presenting and shared some of her story with me and she has been a wonderful advocate for Home for Good ever since. Dianne was kind enough to share her powerful story for us to help inspire women single, married, with kids already or with no children to…
