[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="waterboarding"][/caption] It was revealed that the US used a method of torture called waterboarding on terror suspects in Guatanomo Bay. The process involves lying them victim on their back, tying them down and then pouring water into their nose and mouth so they feel they are going to drown. The idea that we could do this to someone once sounds bad, but it appears one suspect accused of masterminding the 9/11 attrocity was waterboarded over 180 times seems unthinkable. The resurrection was a key factor in my journey to faith. Confronted by the unavoidable statistic that 1 out of every 1 people dies - I needed to find some answers as to what happens next. If as Samuel Becket the play right says "we give birth astride the grave" and life is just the short drop from the womb to the tomb - it is hard not to end up with some kind of nihilism. Don Carson preached on the Good Samaritan at New Word Alive and according to Adrian Warnock he said: "The Good Samaritan is Jesus himself. He comes to us in our brokeness and despite the fact that people despise him, he is the one who pays the entire tab so we are paid. I found this review of FRESH at http://www.babc.org.uk/reviews.htm. It was very helpful. Let me know if you know of any others as Miriam and I are working on a follow up book. Blessings Krish I think that ‘fresh’ is a brilliant book. It helpfully addresses many of the issues which will face Christians going to university. Although the target audience is clearly those who have just begun university (freshers) it could also be a great help to people at any stage of university or those who have contact with people…

So we put on our 3-D specs and we were transported into another dimension. For the first 20 minutes of the Monsters versus Aliens film you are amazed at the clarity of the digital 3-D presentation - when a geeky computer operator plays Ping Pong and the ball leaps out at you or a meteorite crashes down on Susan you are hooked. Monster vs Aliens is a great kids movie with enough jokes for parents that make it a really great family movie. Unlike some movies where the jokes are…

Our latest book "How to Save a Life" is now out. It's a book to help people that want to know how to become a christian. It looks at some of the common objections people have including: I am too good - I don't need to become a Christian? I am too bad - I could never live the Christian life? I am too late - God wouldn't be interested in me after the way i have lived. The book follows the account of the Thief that dies on the…
